Located in southwest Virginia in the town of Blacksburg and set in the Blue Ridge Mountains the VT campus is truly second to none and one that you must experience first hand in order to get the full appreciation of. Virginia Tech and the Hokie Athletic Department offer a camp experience that will give campers a first hand look at what it's like to be a Division I student-athlete.

Hokie Volleyball Camp utilizes the campus facilities of Virginia Tech, including War Memorial Gymnasium and Cassell Coliseum.

Directions

Take Interstate 81 to exit 118B Blacksburg/Virginia Tech. Follow Route 460 West, stay under signs to Blacksburg. At Southgate Rd. (first stoplight you come to) take a right. Take a left at the first stoplight you come to onto Spring Road (runs along Lane Football Stadium). Turn left into parking lot across from Cassell Coliseum (looks like a spider).

Registration

You can register by returning your registration form with your payment. Full payment may be submitted with the registration form. Check out our printable mail-in registration form. Checks or money orders should be made payable to High Potential Camps and mailed to:

Registrations for camp sessions are taken on a "first come, first served" basis. For registrations postmarked before May 1, 2010 you will receive a $15 discount per registration form submitted.

These discounts do not apply to Nike Camp. Go to USSPORTSCAMPS.COM to register for the NIKE Camp. Register early, we will fill up fast!

After you register, you will receive an email containing a PDF with check-in procedures and required medical forms. If for some reason you cannot download from the email, click here for a copy.

Housing

There will be two campers to a dorm room. Please list on the registration form campers who would like to room together. Please note that listing a roommate preference does not guarantee enrollment of the roommate in camp. We do our best to meet roommate requests. If no roommate preference is indicated, campers will be assigned a roommate usually by age and home address. Campers will be required to sign a key deposit waiver stating that if a room key is lost, the athletes camp account will be charged $80 for the purposes of re-keying their room. Campers are financially responsible for any damages they cause to their rooms or other university property.

Meals

Meals will be provided at the award winning Virginia Tech D2 Dinning Hall. Virginia Tech Dinning Services are ranked 1st nationally among US colleges. Overnight campers will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all provided for the duration of camp. Day campers will eat breakfast at home and then will join the overnight campers for lunch and dinner for the duration of camp. Pizza, snacks and drinks will be sold at the camp store, which is located in the dormitories as well as during and in between sessions all day. Feel free to bring spending money for t-shirts, hats, and snacks. For the ALL-SKILLS DAY CAMP, meals are not provided. Campers are responsible for BRINGING THEIR OWN LUNCH.

What to Bring

Overnight campers need to bring a FAN(S) the dorms are not air-conditioned and it can get a little warm depending on the weather. Bring a fan, linens, blanket, sleeping bag, pillow with a pillowcase, towels, shower shoes, alarm clock, t-shirts, shorts or spandex, shoes, kneepads, socks, sun block, water bottles, pajamas, toiletry/personal items, and your health form.

Day campers need to make sure you bring your health form, a pack with spare shirts, shorts, and socks. Pack a WATERBOTTLE, sweats (if appropriate), spare shoes or sandals..

High Potential Volleyball Camps IS NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. DO NOT bring valuable items like radios, expensive cameras, cell phones, cd players etc to camp with you. We recommend that you do not send unnecessary items of clothing, which can get lost, and don't forget to label every article of clothing and equipment.

Medical and Insurance Info

It is our policy that all camp participants must provide proof of medical insurance. If you cannot provide proof of a current medical insurance policy you cannot attend any High Potential Volleyball Camps. A certified athletic trainer will on duty at all times. Because of the rigorous daily schedule, each camper is encouraged to come to camp in top physical condition.

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in for all camps will be on the first day of the specified camp. Check out for all camps will be the last day of camp. Times will vary for each camp and can be found in the camp brochure. You will receive a camp confirmation mailing and registration packet prior to the start of camp detailing all pertinent camp details.

Discounts and Coaches Fees

Refunds and Session Changes

All cancellations before June 1, 2010 will be charged a $100.00 processing/administrative fee. After June 1, 2010 the cancellation fee increases to $150.00 and the remaining balance will be credited towards a future High Potential Volleyball camp or clinic.

For team camp refunds:
All cancellations before June 1, 2010 will be charged a $100.00 processing/administrative fee per athlete. After June 1, 2010 the cancellation fee increases to $175.00 per athlete and the remaining balance will be credited towards a future Virginia Tech volleyball camp or clinic.

Once camp begins, there are no refunds for injury, illness, etc. No exceptions. Any rule violation (camp or campus) will result in immediate dismissal without refund. Crediting athletes for future camps due to unforeseen circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis.
